Post Compass - In the universe of movies and romance novels, nothing can beat the power of true love.

We touched after watching a film like The Notebook and 500 Days of Summer, but doubt it when confronted with reality.

At the age of 89 and 86 years, Alfred Silva and Paley, from Arizona, the United States had been married for 67 years.

When Alfred was diagnosed with Alzheimer's; his grandson is being majored in journalism, Sam Maller, decided to sit with the grandfather and grandmother and document their reflections about relationships that have lasted for 74 years.

Entitled A Life in Love meaning of life in love, which touches the video "celebrate [Alfred], my grandmother Silva Paley and their life together in love."

Aldred and Silva recalled their relationship began from the moment they met at the age of 17 and 14 years to the present.

"Life is very beautiful," said Alfred in the video.

"Do you want to know what love is? Love is the desire to be with someone as much as you can, "he added.

Now, after their grandchildren had grown huge, Alfred and Silva, experiencing a new ordeal. Alfred has started having early stage disease.

"Sometimes I don't know what happened," said Alfred in the video.

Maller explains, "he could still contribute, but at dinner, he was very silent and often spent his time staring at us. I've been asked about that and he said ' it's all in my head, but when I opened my mouth, the words don't come out. ' "

The short film contains old photographs, stories and touching moments between couples who start a new phase of their lives with alzheimer's.

"You can't stop love just because you're in this situation," said Sylvia.
