Andi Gilang champion, Gerry Salim finished third at Sepang circuit

Indonesia, Andi racers "Glittering" Farid Izdihar (front), managed to finish first in the race's first series of the third Asian Talent Cup at the Sepang circuit, Malaysia, Saturday (5/14/2016).

Sepang, Post Compass - Two young racers Indonesia, Andi "Historical" and Gerry Izdihar Farid Salim, again bearing the name of the nation in the Asian Talent Cup (ATC) 2016.

The glittering finish first in the first race of the series third ATC 2016 at the Sepang circuit, Malaysia, Saturday (5/14/2016).

Historical success comes Gerry who finish third. Riders who finish second at this race is Ryūsei Yamanaka (Japan).

Gilang started the race from the position of the start of the second. Qualifying session which took place on Saturday morning, he lost quickly from Kazuki Masaki (Japan).

The first race was held at Sepang starting at 12.00 local time (11:00 GMT). Race 13 laps this tight since the start.

Gilang and Gerry compete with some of the racers, namely Masaki Ogura, Ai (Japan), Yuki Kunii (Japan), Somkiat Chantra (Thailand), and Yamanaka.

The competition took place until the last bend before the finish. Gilang finally managed to touch the finish line first to ensure the victory of both this season.

The historical first victory in the second race of the second series at the Losail circuit, Qatar, last March.

After the first race today, Gerry still survived at the top of the standings. With the addition of 16 numbers, he is now collecting 87 points.

Gilang additional winning 25 points is still stuck in fifth position with 77 points.
