Post Compass - Tens of thousands of people through the site Change.org petitioned UEFA to revoke five Champions League titles courtesy of Real Madrid. The fifth title won by Madrid in 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, and 1960.

The prosecution was initiated by an account named Justicia Deportiva since May 12, 2016. The number of signatures reached 48,679 to the writings was released.

The petition reads, "on the basis of the values of sport and democracy, we asked five European Cup titles earned Madrid from 1955-1956 to 1959-1960 revoked. In fact, their trophy does not comply with the competition that is now recognized by the name of the Champions League. "

Madrid has indeed become a champion in five editions of the first competition the top caste in Europe. However, there is a presumption of the Championship was held with subjective.

On the first issue, the 16 participants are not chosen based on achievements in their respective countries. The Committee derives from the French magazine L ' Équipe, thus considering the big name clubs.

Gabriel Hanot served as the editor of L ' Équipe, is one of the founders of the tournament. He submits proposals to UEFA because it was inspired by the Championship called the Campeonato Sudamericano de Campeones in South America.

Not the first time Real Madrid receives a petition containing negative sentiment. In December 2015, there is a petition calling for Juventus withdrew from the seat of the President.
