Post Comapss - Scientist Jose Carlos Rubio wanted to create a way of illuminating the highways and freeways in General without using electricity.

He then found an innovative solution, that is developing a cement structure-forming he designed to shine when dark.

Rubio, who works at the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolas de Hidalgo examines the ins and outs of cement for nine years.

According to him, the first problem he faced was the fact that cement was not translucent. Rubio then find out more about how to manufacture cement.

The cement manufacturing process begins by mixing the powder with water and once solidified shaped gel, the cement in the form of flakes of Crystal.

Flakes of ituv forms part of the cement that is not necessary. Rubio then finds a way to alter the microstructure of cement which makes the flakes that do not appear.

As a result, cement without Crystal splinters that can absorb solar energy and emit light when night falls.

According to Rubio, emitting products from cement that can survive for 100 years and glows for 12 hours at night.

The intensity of the light emitted can be changed so it does not dazzle road users. The resulting glow of blue and green.

It's not just a luminous cement saves energy, but also environmentally friendly manufacturing processes. During manufacture, the only thing that is issued is water vapor.

Its use according to Rubio could be for commercial use. According to Rubio, at least 4 billion tons of cement made throughout the past 2015 and glowing cement not only can be used for roads, but also the buildings.

Technology of cement that glow can even be used in the process of building plaster. Currently, according to the data of publication of Investigacion y Desarrollo, Rubio has reached the stage of commercialization.
